"L Homme Puma"

Pretty nifty artwork.Do listen to the track Jez Below.

Browsing various Blogs and Record stores, not a single one recognised the sample used
in the above track as coming from the 1970's TV series,
'The Persauders'
OuspenskyFallExo, getting the facts straight,

The above track incidentally is from the 2007 self titled,
"L'Homme Puma"
wheras the Horsey Artwork is from the 2009,
"On Remplace Les Yeux Casses"
[It replaces Broken Eyes]
Available along with an earlier split with Sugartown Cabaret,
the Selftitled, and
a December 2012 Release,

"BandanaScope"

with a much more synthy sound.
All at the Bandcamp. 4 FREE.
Just  by way of satisfying a possible itch you may have, -
if you are listening to the embedded track above,
try opening the 'Youtube' link below at the moment the Player hit's the
1 minute mark exactly.
( during the keyboard part).
Here is the original 'Persauders Theme from youtube, (Starring Roger Moore and Tony Curtiss)
"L homme Puma"  a french band from PARIS, They use to be 4, then 3, now they are, Clement Chauveau - Bass / Keyboards / programming, and Loic Salmon - Drums / Keyboards, Playing Post Rock with Samples, Experimentation, and a little bit of screaming. Samples are used quite intelligently, with the exception of the charles manson clip. ((when will that prick stop being fashionable?)) Look up the Dedicated Homme Puma website, here, L' Homme Puma band.com/ and visit the Bandcamp page hear, "L Homme Puma"_-_Bandcamp_-_"Bandanascope"

You can maybe hear some progression towards the more polished sound of the latest

Un Automne de Plus

ROM 1, and
Jeremy,
are a Duo from La Rochelle originally,
 but now based in Paris.
Citing 'Microfilm' as an influence.
"Un Automne de Plus"
have pinned down the use of samples to similarly good effect.
In the track below, a radio broadcast concerning the attack on pearl harbour is stitched into the
music stream in a powerful way.
Un Automne de Plus_-_Bandcamp_track_"Un jour trop long free."

Espardillos

The bands name, "Espardillos"--(translated) = (shoes)
and "Ronflette Organique"--which mean's 'Organic Hum',
is the title of Espardillo's 2010 release which I'm posting, not only because
it's Free on their bandcamp, but because it is very good.
_Espardillos_-_bandcamp_-_album_-_Ronflette Organique_
Another Duo, this time from Paris, France, but according to the Perte et Fracas_-_Zine
playing since 2007, all over France.
What is it about the synergy of Duo's that produces so many good music's.
Keep up to date on where 'Espardillos' are playing by lurking their
Farcebook_-_Espardillos page.
What do they sound like?
Pretty good straight Math with an often surprising new take on the music,
referencing someone else's piece and taking it a step further.
I heard passages that reminded me of many other bands, but with  an added twist
that was deliberate, but at the same time respectful, not just copying.
Their latest release 'Coup de Pompes' is only 5 unit's for ten song's, after getting the one above,
free, not bad value at all.

"Painting by Numbers"

2 bands from France,
First up is "Painting by Numbers"
A Paris band who have a very experimental approach, not strictly math, but very
improvised sounding and quite futuristic in the way people sometimes imagine music may sound in the future.
You can download their 9 track album for less than what it's worth (name your price) from the
Painting by Numbers_-_bandcamp

Bandcamp Discoveries.

Bandcamp Discoveries
